It's_me _Anju

  The day started with Maya ma'am's class. We discussed about the topic Culture . We came to know more about the different aspects of culture and cultural lag.  The next hour was optional. Deepthi ma'am explained about the values of learning mathematics : Disciplinary value, Cultural value, Vocational value, Moral value etc.  The afternoon session started with Ancy ma'am's class on Jean Piaget's Stages Development: 1. Sensory motor stage 2. Pre operational stage 3. Concrete operational stage 4. Formal operational stage Last hour was handled by Gibi ma'am. We learnt about Adjustment Process. By the end of the class, some of us shared our experience on how we were able to spread happiness among the people surrounding us.   

The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam is a cultural institution functioning under the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala. The centre, named after the late Dr. Guru Gopinath, a pioneer reformer of Kathakali dance, was established in Vattiyoorkavu, a suburb of capital city Thiruvananthapuram. The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam has been established as a centre for learning, training and research in various Indian Dance forms, particularly Kerala Natanam, the dance form composed by the maestro Guru Gopinath. The institution carries on the attempts initiated by the Guru to popularise the dance forms of Kerala and to find fresh talents. On this day of our first trip together, all of us reached the college by 9 am. We reached our destination by 11 am. We were divided into two batches. At first our batch attended a session by Dr. Sajeev Nair sir. The class gave us more knowledge on the contributions of Dr. Guru Gopinath. We also came to know more about different mudras and Sajeev sir demonstrate

  Today, our day began with yoga class. We learnt different yoga aasanas- Nataraajasana. Beginning a day with yoga will make the whole day energetic.  Then we had Joju sir's class. English optional continued their seminar and we learnt different topics today - Cyber Laws, Role of teacher in conscientizing about child abuse over the net.  Next hour was optional. First we had reading and reflection presentation by Shalu on the book  Aadujeevitham by Benyamin. Then Arya explained well about Heuristic Approach . Then Deepthi Ma'am gave a lecture on the topic Learning Process Of Mathematics .  In the afternoon session we had Ancy Ma'am's class on Piaget's Theory of Intellectual Development . After that we had a discussion on Schools of Philosophy- Realism in Maya Ma'am's class.  Last hour, we had Physical Education examination. 

 Today, all of us came back to college after the five days of school induction.  In the morning we had assembly by M.Ed first years. The assembly was a dedication to our mother tongue, Malayalam. The game 'പതിരുണ്ടോ' conducted by them was interesting and funny.  After the assembly we had a meeting with principal and teachers to share our experiences about school induction. One representative from each school shared their experiences. The experience and memories each one of us got from our schools was beyond the words to explain. The change of our role from student teacher to teacher for the five days...Children calling us 'teacher' for the first time in our life, the moment we heard them calling us teacher, made us aware of our role as a real teacher.   

  The second day of our school induction... Today all of us were assigned morning duty to manage and maintain discipline of the arriving students. As I was standing in front of the LP section, one of the students greeted me 'GOOD MORNING TEACHER' . The very first moment in my life a student called me teacher. The happiness and feeling that I am a teacher is beyond words to explain.  After the morning duty we went to explore the campus. We visited the Nehru Garden, Waste Management System, Canteen and different labs of the school. In between we also had an interaction with the IED students. The separate IED resource room was a great initiative from the side of the school.  Then we had a meeting with Ajish Sir, who is in charge of assigning duties to us. Each one of us were allotted to experienced teachers to observe their  classes and also given classes for interaction.   SCHOOL INDUCTION DAY 1 Today was the first day of our school induction programme, which is going to happen in the coming five days. The school alloted to me was St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Pattom. I was very much excited about this day, as this is going to be my first and foremost experience as a  teacher.  We were a group of 20 students from different optionals. Together we stepped into the school which was an amazing experience in the midst of thousands of children.  First, we were allowed to make an observation of the school premises. We visited the Nursery and   LP section, Teacher Training School, medical room, rest room, staff rooms, library, games room, assembly hall, computer lab, sick room, counseling room, play school, cooperative society, auditorium and college chapel .  Then we had a meeting with the principal, Fr. Babu T. Father explained to us about this institution and also inculcated some values in us through his words. He discussed  with us the qualities

  The day started with Joju sir's class. Our optional (Mathematics) continued seminar on the topics Cyber Privacy, Password Protection and  Software Piracy. Then started the seminar of English optional on the topics IT Act 2000 and IT Act 2008. At 11:30, started the meeting to elect the COLLEGE UNION 2021-23. Principal, teachers and the representatives selected from each optional of M.Ed and B.Ed participated in the meeting. Together we selected the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, General Secretary, Arts Club Secretary, Sports Secretary, UUC, Magazine editor and sub editors, Lady representatives and class representatives.  College Union 2021-23 In the afternoon session, Gibi ma'am explained about Observation  and experimental methods in the Methods of Psychology.  At 2.50 pm, we had a meeting in the auditorium and we were given guidelines regarding the School Induction Programme commencing on the coming day. 

  Yoga adds years to your life and life to  your years.  Today our day began with yoga class. We learnt different yoga aasanas which gave us more enery and strength for  the day.  After the yoga class, we had Maya ma'am's class. Seminar presentation of English optional continued today. We discussed on Characteristics of Indian Society- Ethnicity.  The next session was technology seminar presentation of mathematics optional. We presented the topics-  Copyright, Netiquette, Plagiarism, Hacking, Phishing and Software piracy. Joju sir encouraged us a lot which gave us more confidence to present our seminar 😊.  The next session was on Classroom Climate- Authoritarian, Democratic, Laissez- faire , which was handled by Benedict Sir.  Finally, we had a meeting of principal, teachers, B.Ed and M.Ed students to familiarise us with various clubs functioning in our college.The meeting began with a beautiful song by Kavya. SCN8A Epilepsy is a rare disorder that is known to affect around 450 individuals worldwide--causing severe epilepsy, developmental delay, and other medical challenges. ​ The gene SCN8A was isolated in humans by Michael Hammer, PhD, a geneticist who found the gene in his own daughter, Shay, soon after her death in 2011. To honor Shay and all of those with SCN8A, The Cute Syndrome Foundation helped launch SCN8A Awareness Day on February 9th, Shay Hammer's birthday.   Physical Science Assembly Today, our day started with assembly of Physical Science optional. The assembly started with prayer song followed by college anthem, pledge, news, campus news, thought, importance of the day and week, a speech on Women in Science. They also conducted a quiz competition and distributed the prizes of Santa drawing competition. Bindu ma'am inaugurated the physical science association 2021- 23 COSMOS.  Today's class started with Technology seminar presentation. The presentation began with mathematics optional. In the absence of Joju sir, research scholar Jeena ma'am evaluated our presentation. Five among us presented on the topics : Computer viruses and preventive measures.  The next session was handled by Maya ma'am. We learnt more about the methods of teaching in naturalism, naturalism and cultural practises in India, role of teacher in naturalism, it's merits and  demerits.  Next hour was optional, which started with a nice thought by Suji on the importance of forgiveness.  Then Lekshmi presented a seminar on The Contribution of Great Mathematician - Aryabhatta.  Then we had a discussion on SCHOOL INDUCTION coming on the next week. Deepthi ma'am alloted schools to everyone and I was alloted to St Mary's School, Pattom.  The afternoon session was physical education. George sir explained about physical fitness.  Last hour we had a session on Art and  Theatre
