Again Back to School... 😍

 SCHOOL INDUCTION DAY 1



Today was the first day of our school induction programme, which is going to happen in the coming five days. The school alloted to me was St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Pattom. I was very much excited about this day, as this is going to be my first and foremost experience as a  teacher. 

We were a group of 20 students from different optionals. Together we stepped into the school which was an amazing experience in the midst of thousands of children. 


First, we were allowed to make an observation of the school premises. We visited the Nursery and LP section, Teacher Training School, medical room, rest room, staff rooms, library, games room, assembly hall, computer lab, sick room, counseling room, play school, cooperative society, auditorium and college chapel. 


Then we had a meeting with the principal, Fr. Babu T. Father explained to us about this institution and also inculcated some values in us through his words. He discussed  with us the qualities of a good teacher - sound, mentor, facilitator, catalyst, guide etc. We also had a meeting with HM, staff secretary and senior assistant. They explained our duties and also said that the moment we stepped inside the school we are not student teachers but teachers. 

The school is providing mid day meal to about 3000 students. We helped the teachers in serving food to the students. 

After the lunch we visited the library and go through the school magazine. Around 3:30 pm we went to the HM's office and signed the register and left the school by 4 pm.

  SCHOOL INTERNSHIP DAY 40 Last day of internship... As usual, I reached the school by 8.30 am and then signed the attendance register at HM's office. After that I had morning duty in front of LP section. Today, the last day in school. I had my last class at 8E1 in the second hour. Students gave me their feedbacks, sang songs for me, gave me a farewell from the bottom of their heart. At 11. 00 am we had a meeting with HM and principal. All of us shared our feedbacks and contributed books to the school library. In the 4th hour, I had substitution at 5N. I engaged the students by reading newspaper and some of them engaged in decorating the classroom for Onam celebration.    At 12.20 pm I went for food distribution duty. Then we had lunch.  In the sixth hour, I had class at 8E1 . There was a painting competition for the students that time. COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP DAY 1

           First day of our community living camp. The events of the first day were organised by team Ikshana. The day began with registration at 9am. Each and every duty of day 1 was assigned to the members of Ikshana.             The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Y. Shibu, Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Excise Intelligence and Investigation Bureau, North Zone, Kozhikode at 9:30am in the presence of the principal Dr. K. Y. Benedict, union advisor, Dr. Joju John and camp coordinators Dr. Deepthi Elizabeth Maam and Nadhanine Sir. SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 2- DAY 1

 Today was the first day of my school internship phase 2. We collected the timetable from the school on june 7, 2023. The class alloted to me was 8 E1. It is a girls class and there were 32 students in the class. My concerned teacher is Suja Mathai teacher. On the first day, all of us reached the school by 8:45 am. A total of 29 student teachers were alloted to our school, St. Mary's HSS Pattom. Our team leader was Riya J Johnson (Physical Science ) and myself was the assistant leader. On this day, I stepped into the school with lots of expectations and excitement for being the math teacher for 8E1 for the coming two months. At 9 am, Riya and I met the Headmaster Rani ma'am and principal Fr. Nelson, submitted the attendance register and all of us signed it. The day started with morning prayer at 9.25 am.
