TEACHING PRACTICE DAY 6



Today was the 6th day of my teaching practice. I reached the school by 8 am. In the first hour 9th standard students assembled in the auditorium for candle light ceremony. So there was no class for me.

Today, Joju sir came for observation. Sir gave us some valuable tips :

  • Teach students rules to maintain discipline.
  • Break the cluster.
  • Don't shout at students.
  • Tell them motivational thoughts and so on.
In the 2nd hour I had substitution at 7B. In the 3rd hour I went for class observation of my colleague Anu Roy at 8A, Chemistry.




In the afternoon session, I went for class observation at Drishya's class, 8A English. In the 6th hour, I had substitution at 6G. In the 7th hour, I had substitution at 7E. One child, Davis showed me his drawings. It was amazing. In the last hour I engaged in completing my record works.

After the class, I left the school by 3.30 pm.

  SCHOOL INTERNSHIP DAY 40 Last day of internship... As usual, I reached the school by 8.30 am and then signed the attendance register at HM's office. After that I had morning duty in front of LP section. Today, the last day in school. I had my last class at 8E1 in the second hour. Students gave me their feedbacks, sang songs for me, gave me a farewell from the bottom of their heart. At 11. 00 am we had a meeting with HM and principal. All of us shared our feedbacks and contributed books to the school library. In the 4th hour, I had substitution at 5N. I engaged the students by reading newspaper and some of them engaged in decorating the classroom for Onam celebration.    At 12.20 pm I went for food distribution duty. Visit to Dr. Guru Gopinath Natanagramam

The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam is a cultural institution functioning under the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala. The centre, named after the late Dr. Guru Gopinath, a pioneer reformer of Kathakali dance, was established in Vattiyoorkavu, a suburb of capital city Thiruvananthapuram. The Guru Gopinath Natanagramam has been established as a centre for learning, training and research in various Indian Dance forms, particularly Kerala Natanam, the dance form composed by the maestro Guru Gopinath. The institution carries on the attempts initiated by the Guru to popularise the dance forms of Kerala and to find fresh talents. SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PHASE 2- DAY 1

 Today was the first day of my school internship phase 2. We collected the timetable from the school on june 7, 2023. The class alloted to me was 8 E1. It is a girls class and there were 32 students in the class. My concerned teacher is Suja Mathai teacher. On the first day, all of us reached the school by 8:45 am. A total of 29 student teachers were alloted to our school, St. Mary's HSS Pattom. Our team leader was Riya J Johnson (Physical Science ) and myself was the assistant leader. On this day, I stepped into the school with lots of expectations and excitement for being the math teacher for 8E1 for the coming two months. At 9 am, Riya and I met the Headmaster Rani ma'am and principal Fr. Nelson, submitted the attendance register and all of us signed it. The day started with morning prayer at 9.25 am.
